A Taste of History: Honoring Camille Hamby Glenn

Step back in time and savor the legacy of one of Kentucky’s most treasured culinary figures—Camille Hamby Glenn.

As part of the statewide America 250 Kentucky celebration, the Dawson Springs Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to a special luncheon celebrating our nation, our state, and one of Dawson Springs’ most famous daughters.

Mayor Jenny Sewell will bring Camille’s story to life, portraying the legendary cook as she describes a menu inspired by Camille’s recipes and selections straight from Ms. Glenn’s cookbooks.

Born and raised in Dawson Springs, Camille Hamby Glenn became nationally known as a chef and author, celebrated as “the most outstanding Kentucky cook and gourmet of her day.” Her lifelong love of cooking began in her mother’s kitchen at the historic Hamby House—and her influence continues to delight food lovers today.
