equestrian Trails
The Pennyrile State Forest equestrian trail system offers a scenic riding experience featuring towering sandstone bluffs, rock-bottom streams, and beautiful forest landscapes. While most trails are well-maintained and generally safe, some sections may be challenging for inexperienced riders.
Trails are marked with plastic trail markers positioned either point-up or side-to-side. Each of the three primary trail loops is identified by a distinct color, and markers are posted in both directions to assist with navigation.
Please practice good trail etiquette, respect fellow trail users, and help preserve the forest by following the "Pack It In, Pack It Out" principle. Always remain alert for natural hazards, changing trail conditions, and wildlife along the route.
